Communal perspectives on disturbances in school (2019–2022)
The project examines disturbance in schools. The project supplements the individualised perspective on disturbances by paying attention to peer relations, group dynamics and societal differences. The project critically examines ’bad behaviour’ or ’disturbing behavior, and problematizes the hidden assumptions on how somethings is considered to be disturbing. The result of the project is an edited volume in Finnish, which emphasises that disturbance can be seen as a starting point for discussion in stead of something that one should get rid of. The project is done in co-operation with the University of Oulu (prof. Maija Lanas).
